Central helpdesk support

The OIT Helpdesk is the central contact point for all IT related issues in the HSC.

The central Helpdesk is open 7:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. After hours support is until 9:00pm Monday through Friday, and 7am until 9pm on weekends and holidays.

Classroom support

Specialized technicians present for classroom setup and faculty assistance to ensure a successful start for each class.  Local technicians, supporting local faculty & staff, with a centralized escalation approach.

Our goal is to make the delivery of services as seamless as possible. With our focus on technical aspects of meetings, classes and video conferences, we aim to make your classroom experience the best it can possibly be.

AV Support Staff will be present in each location ten minutes proceeding the following events:

  • Educational Classes
  • Scheduled Video Conferences
  • Meetings/Presentations upon request only

Eduroam

The eduroam service allows traveling HSC faculty, staff, students, and sponsored affiliates to connect securely to wireless networks, using their HSC NetIDs (usernames) and passwords, at participating colleges and universities located in more than 60 countries around the world.

Video conferences, meetings and remote instruction

The OIT Audio/Video (AV) team provides enterprise solutions for video collaboration at TAMHSC. Our AV system is built on Cisco technology and is available at HSC locations around the State.

Our video conferencing system is supported by on-site AV technicians and through a central control center.

Free, self service Wifi Internet access for visitors.

Wireless Access for Visitors to HSC (HSC Guest WiFi)

Prospective students and their families, vendors, alumni and other visitors to HSC campuses and facilities may use the HSC Guest Wireless network for wireless access while at the HSC.
