The HSC’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) began using Hannon Hill’s Cascade Server as our Content Management System (CMS) in 2007. The institution-wide solution for providing web content can be utilized by faculty and staff who are experts with regard to content within their particular college or institute.
Training is conducted on an as-need basis by Web Services. If you would like to sign up, please request training through the Office of Information Technology.
Content Management System (CMS) – a way of providing information for a website that ensures a consistent look throughout.
These terms are synonymous:
Content Management System = CMS = Cascade Server 6.7
Assets – any information associated with a website – web pages, documents, images, videos, etc.
Workflow – a series of steps by which web content is updated.
HTML – Hypertext Markup Language – a universal language that allows content to be displayed on the internet.
